2017 Q4 Children's Discipleship Classes

CLC has something for the entire family every Wednesday including C-Luv Kids, Destiny Generation, and Adult Discipleship Classes!

Wednesdays: September 6 - December 6
7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

At Covenant Love Church we believe in the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19 to "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations." God has called us to make disciples; therefore one of the church's greatest responsibilities is to "grow" Christians into mature disciples of Christ. We believe to be faithful to the Great Commission we must be intentional in our discipleship training process. To this end, we put great emphasis on discipleship classes.

These Discipleship Classes have been developed out of our desire for kids to connect to Christ by experiencing and exploring topics related to personal and spiritual development, as well as discover, develop, and operate in their giftings in the Performing Arts.

To register, please visit the Information Station in the Bldg. C Lobby.

Girls' Discipleship Classes:

Kindergarten Girls: More Than Cookies and Punch

Kids will enjoy making tasty treats that go along with the story they are learning about, like the Pizza Snake while they learn about Adam and Eve in Genesis. "Whatcha Think?" questions will open up discussion as the kids participate in making their own snacks. Each week, kids will have fun while they are learning about the Bible and look forward to the next week’s snacktivity!

1st – 2nd Grade Girls: Faithweaver Friends

Sometimes the hardest part of teaching children is getting them to express themselves openly.  In their very own My Faith journal, students will have the chance to write or draw in a risk-free way, what they think about the Bible lessons as it applies to their life.  The will take their finished journals home at the end of the quarter along with a weekly challenge to put their faith into practice.

3rd – 4th Grade Girls: Tea with Eloise

Being a girl is fun!  And girls will have fun while given the tools to develop strong, personal relationships with Christ and acquire the biblical principles necessary to live Christian lives in today’s world.  All this while having fun learning about their inner beauty, poised posture, table etiquette, and Christlike character.  They will put all they have learned to work when they dress up and have a tea party with Eloise.

5th Grade Girls: Christian Charm Course

Giving girls a guide to growing up into charming Christian women is what this class is all about.  It will feature traditional advice on posture, pleasant countenances, exercising and nutrition, hygiene, makeup, and the best clothing fit and how it all relates to scriptural truths.  Girls will be challenged with questions to answer and reflect upon.

Boys' Discipleship Classes:

Kindergarten Boys: Food, Facts, and Fun

When kids are asked what they would like more of in church, the reply is almost unanimous...they want more snacks!  This class will help turn snack time into teaching with simple, easy-to-make recipes that go along with Bible stories and discussion questions.

Snack time that used to have no objective can now become a time with purpose and results.

3rd – 4th Grade Boys: Pinewood Derby

Drivers, start your engines! Philippians 3:12-14 tells us to keep pressing on to win the prize which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus!  Kids will learn how to get into that race by gaining knowledge from scripture and be exhorted to run the race by faithfully and consistently living out their faith every day until they cross the finish line in Heaven. The class will conclude with a race with their own car they will create during the quarter.

There will be $13 fee for the car for this class.

5th Grade Boys: Man in Demand

Wanted! Today's youth to become God's man of tomorrow.  Step-by-step instruction to help boys meet the challenge of dynamic Christian leadership in tomorrow's world all while learning how to achieve a manly posture, acquiring conversational skills, and tips on how to feed on the Word with a sincere, open mind.

This Christmas, C-Luv Kids will take the congregation on a delightful journey to the manger ...by camel!   It's all here: music kids really want to sing, a story everybody will love, and the clear, simple message of Jesus the Savior, sent to our world to redeem sinful humanity. In short, there's simply not a better place for our kids to spend Christmas this year, than here in - Camel Lot!

Do you know kids Kindergarten through 5th Grade who want to act, sing, or dance in our play this year?  Camel Lot is the place for them!
